For Moms Only:

The Mom Advantage

The mom advantage in working from home starts with your being a mom. Being a mom means that you are one heck of a lady! You are able to accomplish a lot in one day – from making sure the home is in tip-top shape, to taking the kids to school, cooking meals, doing the occasional laundry and attending to your family’s whim day in and day out. This kind of multi-tasking is tailor fit for any home-based jobs and many women have put the mom advantage to good use.

Moms are considered a largely untapped resource of skills and talents. A lot of moms have been sidelined from pursuing their careers and businesses to tend to a growing family and/ or new responsibilities at home. This is well and good, and fulfilling by itself. But some of the moms’ other skills and talents may not be put to good use. There are many skillful and career-oriented women out there who are moms and may want to go back to working while being moms.

Most of the time, it is the responsibilities at home that keep moms from going back to work and finding some fulfillment in this too. a few moms have missed that – the action and excitement of day-to-day company deliverables.

With home based work, moms can once again be part of the action. These home-based work allow women some time for their home and kids, and some time for their deliverables. And here, they are able to put to use again the mom advantage:

1. Time Management: Moms are great time managers. With kids to pickup from school and/ or take care of at home, plus household chores that need attending to, they may still find time everyday to go grocery shopping or to shop for themselves. And they may even find the time to sit in front of the computer; and catch up about things or maybe find some opportunities for themselves.

2. Unused Skills and Talents: Moms who were once career women know this all too well. Although their choice of staying at home to tend to the family is a valid choice, it may make them miss professional work sometimes. Home based jobs can help ease that kind of missing.

3. Multi-tasking: Have you ever seen a mom take care of her crying baby, feeding her and rocking her to sleep, while talking on the phone with her husband, and putting away groceries that were just bought into the cupboards? That is amazing multi-tasking!
